March 1, 2024 - Jeremy Blum Joins Three Sails Studios

Three Sails Studios is happy to announce that Jeremy Blum, commonly known online at PixelGrotto, has joined the Three Sails Studios team as a developer and writer.

Jeremy has significant experience across the TTRPG industry, having worked with Paizo, D&D Beyond, Critical Role, Darrington Press, Renegade Games Studios, and Nine Heavens Press. Beyond this, Jeremy has worked as a journalist, including time with the South China Morning Post and HuffPost, and currently works on the guides team at Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Beyond this, he continues to work as a freelancer on various TTRPG projects.

Jeremy began working with Three Sails during the Margrave project, providing additional writing for The Banner Clans. More recently, and for the foreseeable future, Jeremy has been working closely with Three Sails on our first TTRPG, Mappa Mundi: An Exploration + Ecology RPG, where he has taken on the role of developer and writer, with a particular focus on the Chronicles of the Wild adventures. Jeremy will also be actively involved in all forthcoming TTRPG projects published by Three Sails Studios.

George Francis Bickers, studio lead at Three Sails and creator and designer of Mappa Mundi, said: ‘Jeremy is an amazing developer and writer, who has helped bring Mappa Mundi from its first concepts into maturity. He’s someone I’ve been very happy to call a friend for a long time, and now someone I’m even happier to call a partner. I hope he’ll be with us at Three Sails Studios for a long time to come!

Jeremy Blum said: ‘George is a creative force to be reckoned with and I am psyched to see where our collaboration leads. Mappa Mundi is a very exciting project that reminds me of the console RPGs of my youth, combined with the wild wonder of incredible creatures in the beautiful outdoors. Safe to say that I am very much looking forward to people enjoying it...and all future Three Sails Studios projects as well!’

Mappa Mundi: An Exploration + Ecology RPG will launch via crowdfunding in early 2025. In the meantime, a Quickstart guide, featuring the game’s full rules, character creation options, and the first Chronicles of the Wild adventure, is available to download from DriveThruRPG and Itch.io.
